"Just the right amount of vintage magic makes the 53OP the choice for those that are seeking a more traditional instrument. For this special edition, we started with an exotic Sungkai tonewood body and wrapped it in a Tobacco Sunburst Open Pore finish that delivers a more natural feel. This finish will preserve the natural acoustic properties of this tonewood while still providing excellent protection.
The pickup configuration on the 53OP guitars is vintage traditional. Well at least that is how it appears. Actually we put an MK electronics mod on the 53OP that we call the Quad Mod. As the name implies you get 4 great sonic options instead of the expected 3 options. The 53OP has a 4 way switch and in that fourth switch position we give you both pickups in series. It is like having a nice fat humbucker as those two pickups work together. The 53OP also has some nice and hot single-coil Rockfield's designed especially for this instrument. Traditional has never been more evolved."
Tobacco Sunburst, Matte finish, Top bound Sungkai body with the arm and rear contours, C shaped Hard Maple neck, 10" radius Ebony fingerboard with the dot inlays and medium frets, 25.5" scale length, 1 11/16th" nut width, Rockfield TexPlus single coil alnico V bridge and neck pickups, 4-way Quad Mod switching with the master volume and tone controls, String thru body bridge with the block steel saddles, Cast/sealed tuners, Neck Thickness is .81" at the 1st fret and .90" at the 12th, 8.7 pounds, Case not included.
